HailCost Estimate for March 17, 2016 Ft. Worth Hail Storm is $847 Million

After careful post processing the storm swath and the affected areas. We have calculated the total hail damage, we refer to this as the HailCost TM, of this storm to have likely caused 847 Million dollars in property damage. 

Hail up to 2.50" fell across  the Ft. Worth area during the early morning hours and damaged roofs, cars, windshields, RV's, semi's , siding, gutters, solar panels and other items across a 179 square mile area.  

Approximately $329 million dollars in damage is estimated in repairs to automobiles, trucks, and RVs.  
While $518 million dollars is the expected costs to roofs, solar panels, siding and gutters.

This is the most damaging hail storm in the U.S. since the Oklahoma City Hail Storm on May 31st, 2013.
